The Global Approach Network The Global Approach Network is a group of around seventy ITE practitioners, education policy makers and NGO representatives working to make Global Citizenship and Sustainable Development an integral part of the education of all student teachers in Scotland’s Universities.
The Network has been set up under the auspices of a project funded by the UK Government Department for International Development (DfID) (For more background, go to The IDEAS ‘Taking a Global Approach to ITE’ Project.) The project has provided opportunities for those interested in embedding Education for Global Citizenship and Sustainable Development in ITE in Scotland to meet and share their research and practice. It has been responsible for the development of this website and is also in the process of producing a publication to highlight the work of the Network. This will be published in August 2010 to coincide with the end of project conference. Over the course of 2009-2010, the project will work with those involved in the Network to establish a sustainable format for the long-term future. If you would like to join the network and find others in your University who are involved, please email iteproject@ideas-forum.org.uk to register your interest. | Skip Join the Global Approach Network Join the Global Approach NetworkThe Global Approach Network is open to all working in Initial Teacher Education in Scotland.
