Welcome to the Global Approach Network
We are an active and growing network of Initial Teacher Education practitioners and other stakeholders working to make Education for Global Citizenship and Sustainable Development an integral part of the training experience of all student teachers in Scotland’s Universities. We are also cultivating a research agenda in Scotland around the Global Approach. We take an open and collaborative approach to working within and across the Scottish ITE establishments.
Registering with this site will allow you to be kept informed about news relevant to your interests, to access the forums and to find out about other members of the network. To register, send an email to iteproject@ideas-forum.org.uk with REGISTER in the subject line. If you are new to ‘Education for Global Citizenship and Sustainable Development’, find out more at ‘About the Global Approach'. If you have an existing interest in the Global Approach, you can find here a growing repository of information on Practice, Research and Policy. You can also join or set up your own forums to develop practice and research in this area. If you are already involved in the Network, we will be actively engaging your help in gathering relevant information to share. We are currently seeking funding to allow us to continue to develop this website as the interactive hub of a staffed network, actively making connections between ITE practitioners, sharing and developing pedagogies and engendering and supporting research. This is a Moodle site and so can potentially support wikis, databases, on-line courses and a full virtual learning environment. | Skip Join the Global Approach Network Join the Global Approach NetworkThe Global Approach Network is open to all working in Initial Teacher Education in Scotland.
